I moved from Palos Verdes, California to the"Queen City" Charlotte, NC in 1989. Having made such a long distance move myself it gives me great insight as to the issues one encounters when relocating to a new and different city. I am a wife, mother of two fabulous children (adults now!),and grandmother to three precious grandchildren whom I adore! Though I lived in California for 14 years, I was born and raised in Michigan. (Goodbye Winter!)
Charlotte has grown immensely since I moved here! She continues to expand and welcome new growth. I've enjoyed all the city has to offer, plus being able to get to the beach in three hours has it's advantages! As a"transplant,"I can honestly say Charlotte is a fun and exciting place to live!
